• From The Director

    Tēnā Koutou katoa,

I was raised in North Canterbury, with Mum and Dad who owned and operated their own businesses,

I experienced a childhood where I learnt the value of hard work and commitment to achieve success, I developed the skills and understanding of labor-intensive work while working for my father in his logging business,

the high-risk environment is one of the reasons why we as a business, value clients who adhere to safety first cultures.

My mother’s catering business encouraged an understanding of the challenges that come with meeting deadlines and providing a service that is dynamic in roles and responsibility.

As a young adult I started in Recruitment, which over the past 15 years has provided opportunities across New Zealand and Australia from corporate to trade and everything in between.

Fire Recruitment was established in 2021, in the Waimakariri District with a focus to support sustainable and secure futures in employment – we value relationships that are empowering by providing on-going support with our Clients and Candidates to ensure everyone feels confident to participate and contribute to healthy workplace partnerships.

We welcome business and people from all walks of life, offering free, no obligation consultations to understand how we can best support the journey into employment or assist our clients onboarding process as seamlessly as possible.

While our offices are located in Kaiapoi we have placed candidates all throughout the nation in various roles across a range of industries.

‘No matter where you’ve been or where you’re going, there’s a place for you at Fire Recruitment’

    Ngā mihi nui,

    Whanaungatanga

The quality of relationships extends past the engagements between people. It is the process of establishing and maintaining meaningful, reciprocal, and respectful relationships.

As a Māori owned and operated business, we are guided by principles of building relationships that serve and strengthen each member of our community.

We want to support our Clients and our Candidates to have positive workplace partnerships.

    Manaakitanga

While we lead with Māori values, principles and perspectives in the way we operate, we understand the cultural diversity of which we belong, and the industries we operate in.

We welcome every individual to come as they are, and to feel empowered in their abilities, skills, and experiences to make valued and meaningful contributions in employment that is sustainable and secure.

We aim to work towards an ethic of care for our clients and candidates that is based on integrity, support, and respect.

    Rangatiratanga

The nature of Rangatiratanga is often applied to leadership and is seen as having courage, being assertive, determined, and persistent, exercising problem solving skills and applying these factors to achieve greatness for each other.

'Ranga' means to weave, and 'Tira' is a small party or collective of travellers.

In our context at Fire Recruitment, we like to apply Rangatiratanga as the ability to have courage in the pursuit of success towards secure and sustainable futures, weaving together the potential for greatness, wellbeing, and sense of value.

    Te Wero

“Te wero” holds deep cultural significance as a challenge or invitation, often associated with a ceremonial challenge or a call to action.
This concept goes beyond mere competition; it embodies respect, honour, and the
forging of connections through shared experience and mutual respect.

It encapsulates a profound cultural ethos of testing one's limits, demonstrating courage, and fostering growth through adversity.

Embracing challenges promoting respect and integrity, cultural sensitivity and inclusivity, encouraging personal and professional development, differentiation and competitive advantage.

We cultivate a dynamic organisational culture that thrives on challenges, respects diverse perspectives, and fosters continuous development.

Embracing "te wero" enables businesses to not only navigate uncertainties but also emerge stronger, more resilient, and better
equipped to seize opportunities in an increasingly complex global landscape.

We pursue excellence, we strive for excellence, and we get results.
